Q&A
WHAT IS A REGISTERED HOLISTIC NUTRITIONIST?
A Registered Holistic Nutritionist (R.H.N.) has earned a diploma from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. Practitioners must adhere to a Code of Ethics and Scope of Practice, remain in good standing with CSNNAA and carry liability insurance. R.H.N.s use a personalized and holistic approach to improve overall health, wellness and encourage disease prevention. With whole foods at the core, recommendations from an R.H.N. can also include supplements and lifestyle modifications.
WILL MY HEALTH INSURANCE COVER NUTRITIONIST SERVICES?
Some - but not all - health insurance providers cover Registered or Certified Holistic Nutritionists under extended or wellness benefit plans. Some employers offer alternative health benefits as an add-on option to their packages. Contact your employer or insurance provider for more information. Receipts are provided.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DOES BACK TO EARTH WELLNESS TAKE?
E-transfer, Venmo
I DON'T WANT TO GIVE UP (INSERT FAVOURITE FOOD HERE)!
Restricting certain foods (i.e. animal products, gluten, caffeine) can be of great benefit to some, but certainly not for everyone. The role of an R.H.N. is to shape and encourage the best possible diet for each individual client. Your dietary needs, allergies, preferences, lifestyle, culture and wellness goals are given the highest priority.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM MY SESSIONS?
An online intake form will be sent to you via email and should be completed 24 hours before your first appointment. The secure form is a profile of your current health, diet and lifestyle. The initial consultation is an in-depth review of your profile, allowing your personalized recommendations to take shape. Subsequent follow up coaching sessions will provide you with guidance, information, and ongoing support to help you achieve your nutrition and wellness goals.
